The Ballon d'Or is an annual football award presented by French news magazine France Football that is one of the oldest and generally regarded as the most prestigious individual award for football players.
The Ballon d'Or is decided on the basis of a combination of votes from journalists, national team captains and coaches. The award was cancelled in 2020 in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic but is now all set to return this year.
We've had more than a year of nearly non-stop footballing action following the Covid-19 break. Football fans are used to seeing Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi dominating the Ballon d'Or race over the past decade and a half.
The prize will not be handed out until December, So the other players can still make their cases to succeed 2019 winner Lionel Messi over the coming months.
Messi is so much even when he is not scoring goals. Its just amazing, when the ball is around him. Lewandowski is really amazing and he is someone who deserves Ballon D'or last year. But this year he deserves second to Messi, after Messi's Contribution to Copa America(Top Scorer & Top Assist) plus his individual achievement in La Liga(Top Score & Top Goal Contribution).
Now, let's take a look at the Ballon d'Or Power Rankings for the month of August 2021.
